    Description

    Beautiful and in nice antique condition Victorian high relief hand carved white lava cameo brooch.
    The brooch depicts a young nymph or woman dancing.
    The carving is exquisite and in great detail with a very high relief.
    The beautiful yellow gold filigree frame is not marked because this is an early piece, but was acid tested to be 14k gold.
    Both frame and Lava cameo are in very nice condition.
    The entire brooch measures 1 3/4" Long X 1 1/2" wide X 5/8" deep.
    The clasp on the brooch looks like a late replacement, and the pin on the back is probably 9k gold and not 14k like the rest of the frame.
